Maria Teresa Nieves, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish) Board Certified PsychiatricMental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1997 at Medical Science Campus University in Puerto Rico. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in psychiatry from Walden University in 2022. She has over 25 years of clinical experience in various settings, including primary care, Emergency Room, Oncology, Home Health, and acute psychiatric care. Maria has cared for patients of all ages and rendered comforting measures to their families. As a nurse, she believes that patients should be treated like family, and always is her first focus and responsibility.
